Next steps

Next Steps

We held our first stage of consultation, which originally ran from 3rd March to 14th April 2026 and was extended to 14th May 2026. We consulted on our early proposals for the underground hydrogen pipeline and its proposed route, as well as the search areas for Hydrogen Above Ground Installations.

Feedback from our first consultation will help us shape our plans as we develop our proposals.

Our next steps are to continue discussions with landowners and stakeholders as our proposals progress. We will be undertaking surveys as well as technical and environmental assessments along the proposed route to develop and inform our plans ahead of submitting our application for development consent in 2028.
